Hey Kimi team,
I’m a Claude user right now, specially because it has some features I really like and that I use a lot every day that Kimi just doesn’t have yet. Once Kimi gets them, I’ll consider switching.
Here’s what’s missing:

Sidebar artifacts
When Claude writes me a long doc or some code, it pops up in a panel on the right. I can scroll through it, read it, reference it; all while keeping the chat going on the left. With Kimi everything piles up in the same thread and I end up scrolling up and down like a maniac. It’s annoying. -
Projects that actually connect to GitHub
Claude has “Projects” where I link a GitHub repo and it just knows my code. Kimi has Kimi+ but it’s not the same thing. I need real repo sync, not just a prompt template. -
Highlight text and ask about it
This is probably my favorite Claude feature. I highlight a paragraph in the artifact, or a few lines of code, and just type “make this shorter” or “what’s wrong here?” It knows exactly what I selected. No copy-pasting, no describing what I mean. Kimi makes me copy everything back into the chat and it’s tedious.
I think a lot of people are in the same boat. They try Kimi, they like it, but then they hit these walls and go back to the features they need. You’re probably losing users to Claude because of this.
Kimi’s model is actually really good. The interface is clean, responses are fast, pricing is fair. But the lack of these features end up being the difference between “nice to have” and “I can actually use this for work.”
