Hi Kimi Team,
I’m writing to request a small but important UX improvement for the Kimi mobile experience.
Problem:
On Android (and likely iOS), pressing the Enter/Return key on the on-screen keyboard immediately sends the message. There is currently no way to insert a line break or new paragraph within a single message. This is very frustrating when trying to write longer, structured messages.
Current Workaround:
Users must use Shift + Enter, but this is not intuitive on mobile keyboards and many users (including myself) accidentally send incomplete messages.
Requested Solution:
Please add a simple toggle in Settings → Chat Preferences such as:
“Press Enter to send” (ON/OFF)
Or “Use Enter for new line” (ON/OFF)
When disabled, the Enter key should insert a line break instead, and a send button (or a separate send icon) can be used to submit the message.
Why this matters:
Many chat apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord) already offer this option. Adding it would significantly improve the writing experience for users who prefer structured, multi-paragraph messages.
Thank you for considering this!
Best regards,
ZoyenTFC
