I have the Vivace subscription and I hit my weekly cap at 21%, this means that even if I cap my usage every week I’ll only be able to use ~93% of my quota in a given month. Weekly caps need to be increased at least on the Vivace plan.

To clarify how the math works on our end, the full 100% monthly quota is entirely accessible. Because a 30- or 31-day month always spills into a 5th weekly reset window, users technically have the capacity to use that remaining quota in the final few days. However, we completely agree that expecting users to “burst” their usage in those last 2-3 days just to hit 100% isn’t an ideal or natural experience.
The 5x multiplier is specifically designed as a flexibility buffer for those extra days, ensuring that a strict 4x cap (which only covers 28 days) doesn’t completely lock you out before the month ends.
The real issue here is the shared pool. We know the current trade-off is frustrating because your quota isn’t just for coding. Since Kimi Chat and Kimi Work draw from this exact same pool, this pacing mismatch can unfortunately lead to Chat lockouts at the end of the month, even if you still have weekly coding capacity left.

While it’s true that I could burn up that last bit in the last week of the month that only puts me further behind the curve in the next month. Inevitably I will have months where I literally cannot use my full quota. That also does not account for February where there are exactly 4 weeks and nothing more. If I can’t use at least 25% of my quota per week it is inevitable that I will have months where I cannot use all of the quota that I am paying for.
I have the exact opposite situation from what you described. My monthly quota is 100% in the first week, and freeze my Kimi code. It happened because I used too many agent swarms in Kimi work.
