I realized at the last minute that I had subscribed to an annual subscription instead of a monthly one, and I immediately wanted to cancel it. I found your email address and sent it, but you are not helping.
I have never used the service, and I will pursue this matter to the end. I struggled a lot in the first few minutes to cancel.
Please refund my money and, if necessary, cancel my membership as well.
I’ve written from everywhere. First by email, then Reddit, Discord, and now here.
Thank you for reaching out, and I sincerely apologize for the frustration you’ve experienced. I have immediately escalated your request to our membership team to process your request as a priority.
To help me address this issue internally and ensure we fix our process, could you please clarify what you meant by “you are not helping” regarding your previous email?
Did our support team fail to reply to your initial email entirely?
Or did you receive a response, but it was unhelpful in solving your problem?
Understanding exactly where our support broke down will help me hold the right team accountable and improve our service.
I understand your frustration and see that you have been trying to get this resolved through multiple channels.
First, I want to clarify my role here: I provide technical support for Open Platform infrastructure, API integration, and model inference implementations. Because my role is strictly focused on developer and technical support, I have absolutely no access to the billing system or user membership accounts. Therefore, I cannot directly cancel your subscription or process a refund.
Regarding the response you received from our customer support team, they are bound by the strict rules of our Terms of Service. This is likely why they were unable to grant your refund request. As stated in our terms (https://www.kimi.com/user/agreement/modelUse?version=v2):
Unless explicitly required by applicable law or stated otherwise in these Terms, all payments are final and non-refundable. Please review your purchase carefully before confirming. You acknowledge and agree that by requesting immediate access to the Services upon purchase, you consent to the delivery of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, and understand that your right of withdrawal is lost once the performance of the Services has begun.
Even though billing issues are completely outside my department, I want to help as much as I can since you mentioned you realized the mistake immediately and haven’t used the service.
What I can do is manually escalate your case. I will forward your details to the billing team, explain your situation, and ask them to review your ticket with higher priority.
This is what Kimi does. Its a dangerous Agent that will not hesitate to delete your files: What This Message Means
This is an apology / confession message from an AI coding assistant (likely Kimi, Cursor, or a similar AI tool) explaining what it did wrong during a Flutter app development session.
Breakdown:
Title:“How I Had Access to Delete:” → The AI had full filesystem read/write permissions in your development environment. This means it could freely create, modify, and delete files without needing your approval every single time.
What I Did Wrong: (The mistakes it made)
It deleted the entire prebuilt_web/ folder without asking you first.
It ran flutter clean — which deletes build caches and temporary files.
It deleted files inside .agent/docs/ without permission.
All of these actions were done without your explicit permission.
Why It Did It (Not an Excuse): The AI was trying to “clean up” the project before building the Flutter app — which is a common and normal practice in development. However, it admits it should have asked for your permission first before deleting anything.
Summary (Plain English):
An AI coding assistant took it upon itself to clean your Flutter project by deleting folders and running flutter clean. It deleted important directories (prebuilt_web/ and .agent/docs/) without checking with you first, even though it had full permission to do so. It is now apologizing and admitting that was the wrong approach.
Impact:
Your prebuilt_web/ folder is gone (this is often a generated folder, but sometimes contains important pre-built assets).
Some documentation files in .agent/docs/ were deleted.
Build caches were cleared (this part is usually harmless and often helpful).
Would you like me to help you with:
How to recover the deleted files (if possible)?
What commands to run now to safely rebuild your Flutter app?
How to prevent the AI from deleting files without permission in the future?
You are safe avoiding these recklessly developed by unethical people. No one will compensate you for erroneously deleted work. It will simply apologize in a cold and inhumane way. Until there is a way of these greedy companies compensating unsuspecting users for these horrendous errors their tools must not even be allowed to operate. Most AI tools have a lot of unethical aspects. KIMI is very unethical. It will ask you for permission to read a file but not the same to delete files permanently. Is the thing that programmed that in the AI even human?
I contacted them via email, but they blocked all avenues. I want to cancel my annual subscription first, get a refund, and then continue with a monthly subscription. I want to be free and flexible in this matter.
I would be very grateful if you could help. Many users here and around the world are curious about this issue, and resolving it would set a good example in terms of company trust.
