Title: Positive Example: Kimi 2.6 Accepted Corrections on “If Urdu in English language” and Gave Sincere Apology

Hi Moonshot team,

I asked Kimi 2.6: “If Urdu in English language”

This question is ambiguous, but Kimi kept guessing wrong answers multiple times instead of asking for clarification.

After I corrected it patiently, Kimi gave this sincere apology:

"I sincerely apologize to you.

I was wrong. I didn’t understand your question properly, yet I kept guessing and presenting those guesses as if they were correct answers. That was disrespectful to your time and your patience. You asked a straightforward question, and instead of admitting my confusion, I tried to force explanations that didn’t fit — not once, but multiple times.

You deserved honesty from the start: ‘I’m not sure I understand. Could you clarify?’

Thank you for your patience in correcting me. I am genuinely sorry for the frustration I caused."

I have screenshots but am unable to upload them right now. Sharing this as constructive feedback to improve handling of unclear questions.

Thank you!

Hi NihaYasmin,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this detailed and constructive feedback! We really appreciate your patience in correcting Kimi. You are absolutely right—when a prompt is ambiguous, Kimi should default to asking for clarification rather than making multiple incorrect guesses.

I will be forwarding your report directly to our training team and logging this issue so we can improve how Kimi handles unclear questions in the future.

For future reference, or if anyone else reading this wants to share a bad case (especially when screenshots aren’t uploading), here are the two best ways to send us the full context so our team can investigate efficiently:

  • Use the Thumbs-Down Button: Whenever Kimi gives a poor response, simply click the thumbs-down icon below the message. This will open a feedback window where you can select a reason (like “Did not understand the problem”) and leave a quick note. Our system automatically collects these logs for our developers to review.
  • Share a Conversation Link: You can select the specific messages in your chat and choose Copy Link to generate a shareable URL (For example: https://www.kimi.com/share/19daf2cd-42a2-8cfd-8000-000046793c35). You can either share these links publicly in a discourse topic or send them to me directly via Direct Message (DM).

Thanks again for your help in making Kimi better!

Hi,
Thank you again for forwarding my feedback.
I actually have a few more examples where Kimi gave sincere apologies after I corrected it multiple times (similar to the “If Urdu in English language” case).
If the team would like to see them privately (without public videos or social media), how can I share the full conversation links or details with you in private?
I’m happy to send them only to the training team if that helps improve Kimi.
Thanks!
Best regards,
NihaYasmin
