Urgent Assistance Needed

Kimi Support Team,

I now have two paid Allegretto accounts, but I’m unable to access either one. I’ve sent multiple emails to [email protected], but I haven’t received a response. I’m requesting immediate assistance, or I’ll be processing a chargeback on my Amex card.

Could you please let me know how to contact someone who will respond? I’ve already made a post on X, so hopefully someone will respond. It’s frustrating that I have to go through such lengths to contact someone through Kimi. I’m seriously considering discontinuing their AI service at this point unless this gets fixed ASAP!

Hi, I’ve sent you a private message to follow up. For your security, please avoid posting sensitive details in this public thread. Instead, please provide your registered email address or phone number, along with the invoice ID, in our private chat. I will escalate your case to help speed up the process, though please note that the final resolution will still be handled through the membership team.

Oh how frustrating! they literally DO NOT RESPOND BACK adequately!

i have the same issue. Kimi subsription worked for a day in VScode and no matter what i try there’s no way to get it working again - reinstalling VScode extension, removing VScode kimi cache, removing the entire VScode config cache and reinstalling VScode or just using the kimi-cli - the website shows a successful login and neither the extension not the cli connecting.

Hi @cgs18g,

Thank you for your patience. I’ve sent you a private message earlier, but I haven’t yet received the exact invoice ID and the specific login method you’re using.

From your description, this sounds more like a login-method mismatch (for example, logging in via different channels—email, phone, or third-party SSO—may create or land on separate accounts). To identify the correct account and resolve the access issue accurately, I need:

  1. Your registered email or phone number
  2. The invoice ID for the paid account(s)
  3. Which login method you originally used (e.g., email magic link, password, Google, etc.)

Please reply directly in the private message I sent you so we can keep your details secure. Once I have this information, I’ll escalate it immediately to the membership team.

Hi @moonwalker2837,

Thanks for reaching out. Based on the screenshot you shared, this doesn’t appear to be the same issue as the original post. It looks like the VS Code extension simply failed to log in rather than a post-payment account access problem.

Please refer to our FAQ for the VS Code extension here: https://www.kimi.com/code/docs/en/kimi-code/faq.html#vs-code-extension-faq

Quick troubleshooting steps:

  • Skip login and switch to API Key mode inside the VS Code extension.
  • Check your network connection and ensure you can reach Kimi services.
  • If it’s a transient error, use the action menu in the VS Code extension to retry later.

You can generate your API key at:
https://www.kimi.com/code/console

If the above steps don’t resolve it, feel free to open a new thread with the exact error message and we’ll dig in further.

I don’t want to use api key with separate billing after paying for a full annual subscription. please cancel it if you can’t resolve the issues you’ve had for over a month by now

Hi @moonwalker2837,

I completely understand your concern, and I want to clarify this so there’s no confusion about billing.

The API key you can generate at https://www.kimi.com/code/console follows the pattern sk-kimi-abcdxxxx.... It uses the endpoint https://api.kimi.com/coding/ (or /coding/v1), as documented here:
https://www.kimi.com/code/docs/en/third-party-tools/other-coding-agents.html

All requests made with this key run on the Code Plan, which is part of your existing membership. There is no separate billing or extra charge for using this key—it consumes your included Code Plan quota only.

This is entirely separate from the Platform API at https://platform.kimi.ai/console, which is a distinct pay-as-you-go, token-based system that my team directly maintains.

So using API key mode using the sk-kimi-* key in the VS Code extension will not create a separate bill or additional charges. It simply authenticates you against your current paid plan.

Please try the steps in the FAQ with this in mind. If you’re still unable to log in, share the exact error message and I’ll escalate it right away.
